What better way to celebrate a community than by bringing neighbors, families, local artists, vendors, and businesses together? This year, Highland Falls celebrated a major milestone with Highland Park Founders Day, a weekend-long celebration honoring the community’s 125th anniversary. We were proud to support the celebration as a Blue Sponsor and by tabling at Roe Park during Friday night’s concert and vendor festivities.
What Was Highland Park Founders Day Celebrating?
Highland Park Founders Day was a weekend-long celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Highland Falls community. Residents and visitors gathered throughout the weekend to enjoy food, music, local art, vendors, family activities, and a community parade.
The celebration showcased what makes Highland Falls special: a strong sense of community and a commitment to coming together. From local businesses and food trucks to musicians and artists from Highland Falls and the surrounding region, the weekend gave residents plenty of opportunities to connect and celebrate their home.
How Did We Participate in the Celebration?
We were proud to participate in two ways: through our Blue Sponsorship and by setting up a table at Roe Park during Friday night’s concert and vendor night.
Our team had the opportunity to meet with Highland Falls residents, share information about our fast fiber internet, and talk with members of the community about their connectivity needs.
Being there in person was just as important as the sponsorship itself. Community events like Founders Day give us an opportunity to meet the people and families who make the Hudson Valley such a special place to live.
What Did Residents Enjoy at Roe Park?
Friday night at Roe Park brought the Highland Falls community together for an evening filled with entertainment, food, and activities for all ages.
Residents gathered to watch local artists and musicians perform, including Shan Scott, a Highland Falls native who appeared on The Voice. Local vendors and food trucks added to the festivities, while bounce houses and games gave younger attendees plenty to enjoy.
The atmosphere reflected the close-knit nature of Highland Falls. Families, friends, neighbors, and local businesses all came together to celebrate the community and its history.
Why Is Community Connection So Important?
At its heart, Founders Day was about connection.
Highland Falls is a tight-knit community, and the relationships between neighbors are an important part of what makes the village strong. Events like this create space for people to step away from their everyday routines, spend time together, support local businesses and artists, and celebrate the place they call home.
That spirit of connection is something we value deeply. As a provider of fast fiber internet, we know that connectivity is about more than technology. Reliable internet helps people work, learn, communicate, and stay connected—but events like Founders Day remind us that some of the most meaningful connections happen face-to-face.
What Did We Take Away From Highland Park Founders Day?
Our biggest takeaway was a simple one: supporting the communities we serve matters.
Highland Park Founders Day was a celebration of an important milestone, but it was also a reminder of the value of coming together. Supporting events that bring residents together allows us to be part of the communities where we live and work—not simply as a service provider, but as a community partner.
We were grateful for the opportunity to meet Highland Falls residents, celebrate alongside the community, and contribute to a weekend that honored 125 years of local history.
How Can We Continue Supporting Highland Falls?
We look forward to continuing to support events, organizations, and initiatives throughout the village of Highland Falls.
Community celebrations create opportunities for residents to connect with one another, and we are proud to play a role in helping make those moments possible. We hope to continue showing up, supporting local events, and building relationships with the communities we serve.
