BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (October 8, 2025) – Connecting networks, communities and wildlife, Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), New York’s leading fiber-to-the-home provider, is pleased to share an expanded partnership with Binghamton’s iconic Ross Park Zoo. Greenlight will host a free-admission “Community Day” at the zoo on Monday, Oct. 13, as the company extends its name sponsorship of the Wolf Woods Education Center and provides fast fiber internet connectivity to high-traffic areas of the zoo grounds.
“Ross Park Zoo holds a special place in our hearts. We’re thrilled to collaborate on a ‘Community Day that benefits local families and residents. We are proud that our ongoing investment in the Zoo is helping to enhance connectivity throughout the grounds and elevate the guest experience,” said Mark Murphy, CEO, Greenlight Networks. “By waiving admission for a day, we hope to make it even easier for families to enjoy time together at one of Binghamton’s most beloved community destinations. While you’re there, stop by our Greenlight table to learn more about our reliable, affordable internet service. We’re expanding our network footprint rapidly in the Southern Tier and reaching more neighborhoods than ever before.”
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 13, Greenlight representatives will be on-site stationed near the main entrance by the gift shop and Wolf Woods Education Center to help answer questions and share information about the advantages of fiber internet. A local artist from Kings Creation Face Painting will be offering free face painting to young zoo guests and as an added incentive, any zoo guests who place an order with Greenlight in a serviceable district will receive free installation and an Amazon gift card.
Greenlight Networks currently services more than 30,000 homes across the City of Binghamton, Endicott, Endwell, Johnson City, Owego, Union and Vestal. This fall, construction is underway to expand services across these communities to connect more Binghamton residents to Greenlight’s high-speed fiber Internet network.
“For 150 years, Ross Park Zoo has been a place where people can connect with each other and the world around them,” said Phillip Ginter, Executive Director, Ross Park Zoo. “Thanks to our friends at Greenlight Networks, everyone can make connections at the zoo on Monday, October 13th, with FREE admission. We want to thank Greenlight Networks for their generous support of the zoo and for being an incredible corporate and community partner.”
Through the extension of the sponsorship agreement, Greenlight will continue to deliver high-speed fiber internet across the zoo—from the gift shop and administrative offices to the maintenance shop—while also powering streaming services at animal exhibits to enrich the visitor experience.
