Faster, More Reliable Fiber Internet Arrives in Walden as Greenlight Networks Continues Orange County Expansion; Construction Underway in Washingtonville

$6.8 Million Investment Brings Service to More Than 2,200 Households in Walden; Nearly 2,300 Homes Under Construction in Washingtonville

Orange County, N.Y. (February 24, 2026) – Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), a leading fiber-to-the-home provider, today announced that residents in the Village of Walden are now serviceable and can access its ultra-high-speed fiber internet network, with the final remaining streets expected to be connected toward the end of this summer. The company is also expanding further in Orange County with active construction underway in Washingtonville, where plans are in place to connect nearly 2,300 homes to high-speed fiber Internet by the end of 2026.

Greenlight has invested $3.4 million to build out its high-speed fiber internet network infrastructure throughout the Village of Walden, bringing access to thousands of households. This latest build reinforces Greenlight’s long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity across Orange County, where the company has invested more than $33.75 million to date.

“Our community continues to grow and evolve, and dependable internet access is essential to that progress,” said Conor Eckert, President & CEO of the Orange County Partnership. “Greenlight’s investment in the Village of Walden, and its continued expansion to serve Washingtonville, strengthens the infrastructure needed to support business growth, attract new investment, and ensure our residents have the connectivity required to compete in today’s digital economy.”

Fiber Internet service is already available in the City of Middletown, Town of Wallkill, City of Port Jervis, Village of Goshen, and now the Village of Walden, with Washingtonville representing the next phase of the company’s regional growth.

“High-speed, reliable internet is no longer a luxury – it’s a necessity for education, employment, and everyday life,” said John Revella, Walden Village Manager and Orange County Legislator. “We are thrilled that Walden residents can now access Greenlight’s fiber network, and we look forward to seeing neighboring communities like Washingtonville benefit from this investment as well.”

Construction in Washingtonville is currently underway, with plans to connect nearly 2,300 homes by the end of 2026. Once complete, residents and businesses there will have access to Greenlight’s fiber optic internet service directly to their home with symmetrical upload and download speeds, designed to support remote work, digital learning, telehealth, streaming, and growing local businesses.

“Communities throughout the Hudson Valley are asking for faster, more reliable and affordable internet options – Walden is no exception,” said Michele Sadwick, Chief Revenue Officer of Greenlight Networks. “With Walden residents now able to connect today and construction progressing in Washingtonville, this expansion reflects our continued commitment to building future-ready fiber infrastructure that supports local families, small businesses, and long-term economic growth. We’re delivering high-performance connectivity that these communities can depend on.”

Greenlight offers speeds ranging from 350Mbps to 8 Gig with plans starting as low as $35/month. Local residents should visit Greenlight’s website to check address eligibility, sign up for construction updates, and learn more about available service plans. Greenlight’s fiber network offers symmetrical upload and download speeds, unlimited data usage, and straightforward pricing without hidden fees or long-term contracts.
