$6.8 Million Investment Brings Service to More Than 2,200 Households in Walden; Nearly 2,300 Homes Under Construction in Washingtonville
Orange County, N.Y. (February 24, 2026) – Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), a leading fiber-to-the-home provider, today announced that residents in the Village of Walden are now serviceable and can access its ultra-high-speed fiber internet network, with the final remaining streets expected to be connected toward the end of this summer. The company is also expanding further in Orange County with active construction underway in Washingtonville, where plans are in place to connect nearly 2,300 homes to high-speed fiber Internet by the end of 2026.
Greenlight has invested $3.4 million to build out its high-speed fiber internet network infrastructure throughout the Village of Walden, bringing access to thousands of households. Fiber Internet service is already available in the City of Middletown, Town of Wallkill, City of Port Jervis, Village of Goshen, and now the Village of Walden, with Washingtonville representing the next phase of the company’s regional growth.

Construction in Washingtonville is currently underway, with plans to connect nearly 2,300 homes by the end of 2026.
