BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania (April 20, 2026) – Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), a leading fiber-to-the-home provider, today announced plans to expand its ultra-fast fiber internet network across Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley region. The $62 million expansion is set to bring access to tens of thousands of households and businesses across the region by the end of 2027. More than half, nearly $33 million of the investment, is earmarked to build the infrastructure within the City of Bethlehem, one of the first communities selected for the initial fiber network build.
Construction is already well underway in the first neighborhoods of Central Bethlehem, marking the start of a phased build across the city. More than 22,000 homes and businesses are expected to gain access to Greenlight’s t fiber-optic network with initial service availability starting this spring. Additional neighborhoods will come online throughout the summer and into the fall, bringing fast, reliable fiber internet one step closer to homes and businesses across Bethlehem.
“It’s always a great day when we get to celebrate a new partner and a business expanding into the Lehigh Valley. The addition of Greenlight Networks into Bethlehem, and their commitment to expand their ultra-fast fiber network, is a wonderful advancement to The Chamber’s mission of improving our local economy and quality of communities,” said Tony Iannelli, President and CEO of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber. “This private investment will support the growth of area businesses and improve connectivity for the people that live there. Thank you for choosing The Lehigh Valley for your expansion. We are excited to have you join our family and look forward to a bright future! “
“We’re excited to bring more choice to Pennsylvania residents and businesses,” said Mark Murphy, CEO of Greenlight Networks. “As we begin construction in Bethlehem and prepare for continued expansion across the region, we’re focused on delivering not just fast, reliable internet, but also meaningful community partnerships. Making meaningful investments and fostering long-term partnerships reflects our commitment to supporting the communities we serve in lasting ways.”
Serving more than 320,000 households and businesses across New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, Greenlight continues to expand its network to meet the growing demands for high-speed connectivity across the region. The Lehigh Valley expansion builds on Greenlight’s 2025 acquisition of Loop Internet, which added local staff and resources in northeast Pennsylvania. Greenlight’s acquisition of FastBridge Fiber (expected to close mid-2026) will further extend the company’s footprint across Southeast Pennsylvania.
High-speed fiber optic internet service is currently available across Northeast and South-Central Pennsylvania with additional expansion underway. Residents in these areas, in addition to those in Bethlehem, are encouraged to visit greenlightnetworks.com/lehigh-valley-pa to check availability, sign up for updates, and pre-order service as construction progresses.
Greenlight’s fiber network delivers symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 8 Gbps, providing fast, reliable connectivity without data caps, contracts or hidden fees. Service plans in the Lehigh Valley will include options starting at $30/month and ranging from 350 Mbps to 8 Gig, to meet the needs of both residential and small business customers.
