Greenlight Networks Wins Best Internet Service Provider in the 2021 Reader Ranking Awards

Rochester, NY., August 12, 2021 – Greenlight Networks, the fastest fiber-to-the-home provider in New York State, is pleased to announce that it has won Best Internet Service Provider in the 2021 Reader Rankings Awards presented by the Rochester Business Journal. This is the fifth consecutive year Greenlight has received this recognition.

Greenlight Founder and CEO Mark Murphy said, “On behalf of our employees, contractor partners and suppliers, thank you for voting for Greenlight Networks in the Reader Rankings. We know people have many options for Internet service and Greenlight is proud to be named Rochester’s Best Internet Provider for the fifth year in a row.”

Greenlight Networks recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary on July 29 and announced plans to bring its lightning-fast high-speed fiber optic Internet to 50 additional neighborhoods reaching 20,000 more households in Monroe County during 2021. Greenlight also announced that it has permanently increased its upload speeds to match its download speeds, providing synchronous speeds at no additional charge for residential customers.

“This recognition and continued support are critical to our mission to connect communities by delivering the best Internet experience possible,” continued Murphy. “Greenlight was built on the belief that people want competition for faster Internet at affordable prices. Building a fiber optic network directly to homes and businesses is a difficult and lengthy process. But as this past year demonstrates, demand for our network, which supports much higher data speeds than traditional networks, is constantly increasing, and we are committed to providing the best and fastest Internet in Greater Rochester.”

The Reader Rankings Awards are a reader-driven effort to identify top companies and organizations in dozens of categories through a two-step nomination and voting process.
