Niagara Falls, N.Y. (March 3, 2026) – Greenlight Networks, a leading fiber-to-the-home provider, is pleased to announce its continued expansion of its ultra-fast fiber network in Niagara Falls as part of its broader investment across Western New York. The ongoing build will extend its high-speed, high-performance fiber Internet to more than 3,000  additional Niagara Falls homes and businesses, bringing more choices and connectivity to the community. As part of the current phase of construction, Greenlight is expanding its fiber infrastructure across several Niagara Falls neighborhoods, including Rivershore,  Read, Granby, and Demunda, with  service anticipated this spring.

“Infrastructure investments are critically important in making neighborhoods and communities more livable and the investment being made in our City by Greenlight is an important aspect of this,” said Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino. “We welcome the significant investment that Greenlight Networks in making in our City.”

“I welcome the further expansion of Greenlight Networks into Niagara Falls as reliable, affordable high-speed internet is not a luxury, it’s a necessity for everyday life,” said Niagara County Legislator Chris McKimmie.  “The more options we have for consumers, the more competitive the pricing will be.  I hope to see Greenlight continue to grow across Niagara Falls and all of Niagara County.

“High-speed, reliable internet is not a luxury – it is foundational infrastructure for economic growth and individual opportunity,” said Craig Turner, Interim Executive Director of the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce. “From small businesses competing in a global marketplace to students learning online and families managing their daily lives, dependable connectivity is not only essential, but an important quality of life asset. Greenlight’s continued investment in Niagara Falls helps ensure our residents and employers have access to the technology they need to grow, compete, and thrive. We appreciate Greenlight’s commitment to expanding infrastructure that supports both business development and opportunity across our community.”

Greenlight networks can deliver speeds to up to 4 times faster than what the average American uses today. A 2024 study by the Fiber Broadband Association and The Brattle Group  found that homes with a fiber connection have an average 14% increase in value, about $27,000 to $41,000 more than homes without fiber.

Greenlight’s continued growth in Niagara Falls is part of a larger, multi-year investment across the Western NY region. Since entering the market in 2021, Greenlight has connected access to more than 50,000 homes across Buffalo and in Niagara Falls, Greenlight has activated service in the neighborhoods between Niagara Falls Boulevard and the LaSalle Expressway, with additional construction in progress east of the Niagara Falls Expressway and throughout several neighborhoods in the southeast part of the city.

“The City of Niagara Falls has been an important part of Greenlight’s growth in Western New York, and we’re excited to continue expanding our network throughout the city,” said Michele Sadwick, Chief Revenue Officer of Greenlight Networks. “This expansion underscores the growing demand for faster, more reliable internet and our long-term commitment to investing in future-ready fiber infrastructure that meets both current and evolving digital needs.”

In fact, in 2025, Greenlight invested an additional $25 million to expand fiber connectivity to 7,000 homes in Tonawanda, 4,000 in Niagara Falls, and 3,000 in Lancaster, supporting greater access to reliable internet for residents and businesses.

Greenlight’s multi-gigabit fiber internet delivers speeds of up to 8 Gbps, supporting seamless streaming, remote work, online gaming, and video conferencing without interruption. Built on a 100 percent fiber network, Greenlight provides fast, reliable connectivity with straightforward pricing and no contracts or hidden fees.
