The press conference will take place on Thursday morning promptly at 9:30 a.m. at the Ross Park Zoo main entrance. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 23, Greenlight representatives will be on-site stationed near the main entrance by the gift shop and Wolf Woods Education Center to help answer questions and share information about the advantages of fiber internet. Additionally, there will be a craft station at the Greenlight table, and an artist will also be onsite throughout the duration of the event to offer free face painting to children.

“Ross Park Zoo holds such a special place in our hearts, and our long-standing partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the Binghamton community. It’s especially meaningful to partner with an organization that has brought generations of families together,” said Mark Murphy, CEO, Greenlight Networks.

As a current zoo sponsor, Greenlight has helped enhance connectivity in key areas within the zoo, including the gift shop, administration office and maintenance shop. The company also supports the streaming services at the animal enclosures and serves as the sponsor the Wolf Woods building.

“For 150 years, Ross Park Zoo has been a place where people can come together to connect with nature and one another,” said Phillip Ginter, Executive Director, Ross Park Zoo. “That spirit of connection is one of the many reasons our partnership with Greenlight Networks has been so successful. We are grateful for Greenlight’s continued support of the zoo and Binghamton community, and we look forward to welcoming our guests.”

Since entering the Greater Binghamton market in 2021, Greenlight Networks has invested more than $45 million to expand its high-speed fiber internet network across the Southern Tier now serving 40,000 homes across the region, including the City of Binghamton, Endicott, Endwell, Johnson City, Owego, Union and Vestal. In 2026, Greenlight continued expansion adding approximately 4,300 additional homes and businesses in Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott, Vestal, and Union, reflecting sustained demand for fast, reliable fiber internet across the region.

“Community Day is about giving back to the community that has supported Greenlight every step of the way. It’s an opportunity to give back, thank our customers and neighbors, and recognize the partnerships that have helped make Binghamton such an important part of our story,” said Dan English, Greenlight General Manager.
