Chief Financial Officer Joins Greenlight Networks

Rochester, N.Y. – July 22, 2019 – Greenlight Networks, the fastest fiber-to-the-home provider in New York State, today announced the addition of Philip A. Jones as Chief Financial Officer. In this newly created position at Greenlight, Jones will oversee the accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, investor relations and financing functions for the company.

 

Jones joins Greenlight from Document Security Systems, an $18 million publicly traded company headquartered in Rochester, NY, where he served for 14 years as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he was Controller for American Fiber Systems, a fiber optic networking business.

 

A seasoned financial and executive leader, Jones has a proven track record of helping businesses scale and grow. “I’m extremely pleased to welcome Phil to our team,” said Greenlight President Mark Murphy. “Phil brings critical skills to our finance and accounting team from his experience at several growing companies where he was instrumental in providing the finance vision, strategy and leadership to help organizations get to the next level. This experience will be instrumental to Greenlight as we rapidly grow and expand.”

Jones has also held finance and accounting positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Zapata Corporation, Arthur Anderson, and Bonadio & Co. He is a CPA (nonactive), holds a Master of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Economics from SUNY Geneseo.
